Humming Traditions: SODAI – Straw, Form & Wind

An immersive ~3 hour workshop at DooBeeDoo Goodies Atelier (Märzstraße 86, 1150 Vienna) for adults, quiet hands, patient minds, and those who enjoy the slow rhythm of creation.

Step into the gentle rhythm of SODAI, traditional Lithuanian straw mobiles. In this workshop, you’ll learn basic techniques of straw preparation, stringing, and construction. Together, we’ll move through a calm, meditative process, each gesture connecting thought, breath, and creation in quiet balance.

By the end, you’ll leave with your own handmade Sodai, a timeless ornament carrying both heritage and your creative touch, and with the knowledge, focus, and stillness that this ancient craft awakens.

All materials and tools, guided instruction, a cup of herbal tea are included. Group is small and intimate, ensuring personal guidance. No previous experience needed, only patient hands, a calm mind, and an eye for quiet detail.
